Port Hedland resident Tom Mattick, 40, has never really been one for dress-ups and arbitrary holidays like Halloween.

This year, however, he has decided to give it a whirl, getting his inspiration from seeing 9 clowns dressed up as Port Hedland councillors for the last year.

Speaking to the Bugle, he said he was excited to find an outfit.

“Halloweens a bit of a bullshit holiday,” he quipped.

“But if the leaders of our fine town are jumping on board, wearing their little suits and acting like they know how to run a local government, I thought what the hell!”

The public initially condemned Cr Adrian McRae’s distasteful Halloween outfit of a full SS Trooper uniform before realising it was just his usual attire.
