Karratha Engineer Wade Cox, 38, was seen muttering obscenities under his breath this morning as he dragged his unusually heavy suitcase to the car ahead of his families trip to Perth.

Known for his preference of wearing the same shirt multiple days in a row, the 38 year-old was planning to take only underpants and toiletries on the weekend trip but made the grave mistake of granting his Mrs permission to pack a few of her things in his luggage.

Speaking to the Bugle, a lot of Mr Cox’s language during his statement had to be omitted.

“At first she just asked if she could chuck one of her jumpers in my carry-on,” he groaned.

“Next thing you know, she was dragging out the 80L suitcase from our Europe trip in 2010 and dumping all my [expletive] in there.”

“If it was socially acceptable I would have walked onto the plane back to Karratha in the same clothes I left in.”

“Why the [expletive] does she need so much [expletive]?”

After packing three weeks worth of clothing and makeup for a two day trip, Wade’s wife Sara then complained of a sore wrist, concluding that Wade may have to carry the luggage to and from the airport.

“Ouch,” she declared.

“Wadey – I think I hurt my arm-y getting the suitcase out from the cupboard.”

“Could you pwease carry it for me?”

When reviewing their travel itinerary and discovering the hotel’s lift was temporarily out of service and their room was on the 12th floor, Wade was seen white-knuckling, visibly shaking and letting out an involuntary “of course it is.”
