The Pilbara Fishing Extravaganza is back once again, as sunburnt blokes prepare to spend all day on the water getting their reels sizzled by sharks decapitating their catch.
One of the most notable events in the Pilbara fishing calendar, it’s rumoured that contestants spend more time thinking about what their team name is going to be rather than actually preparing for the tournament e.g. The Porkhunts, W’anchors, Fish Fingered, The Tackle Whores etc.
Speaking to one of the contestants as they prepared their vessel, they were quietly confident they were set to take away the win.
“Yeah, with a bar crusher it should be easy work tomorrow.” They bragged.
“The key to winning tourneys like this is to bring a fuckload of lead sinkers and shove em down the gullet of your biggest fish. Some places are privy to it but I like my chances this weekend.”
