Fears Of Recession As Port Hedland Council, Overseeing Most Economically Important Industry In Australia, Full Of People From Port Hedland

Clowns of Port Hedland

As sure as the sun will rise and set, so will the Port Hedland council be comprised of people that you would actively avoid at social outings.

The shambolic group responsible for governing the region that outputs Australia biggest earning export has come into question once again, as their latest council meeting dragged on for 4.5 hours.

Previously suspended by the state government for incompetence and bullying after 18 months of complaints in 2019, it appears that council is up to their old tricks once more.

One onlooker described the proceedings as worse than the banter at a cattle auction.

“This lot was all over the place,” the witness said.

“One minute that Putin lover is banging on about how much he’s learning from being in council meetings and the next that former mayor that once dressed up as Zorro starts carrying on about god knows what.”

“I reckon there’s a reason the State Government had to disassemble these space cadets a few years back. There’s nary a brain between them.”

Leading economist Paul Fluffer spoke to the Bugle and said that despite the chaotic nature of the Port Hedland Council, there is no concerns coming from leaders in the iron-ore industry.

“DMIRS keep a close eye on that band of fools.” He said.

“Fortunately they can really only have an impact over things like footpaths and community events. The only anomaly in the budget each year is a huge spend on in-house massage services paid to ‘Spicy Banana Massage PTY LTD.”

“Can you imagine if we handed them power over the port? Australia would be broke before Christmas!”

A spokesperson for the Town of Port Hedland provided comment saying that despite the appearance that things are batshit crazy in council chambers, they are much much worse behind closed doors.

It was later confirmed that the cause of the excessive length of the meeting was due to council deliberating over whether to go to lunch at Yummy Noodle or Bernie’s Place.
