The Leader of the Opposition Peter Dutton seems to have gone above and beyond the call of duty this week in an effort to convince the Australian public that Nuclear is the right pick for the future of the countries energy demands.
Touring through the troubled Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, home to the second worst nuclear accident in history after Chernobyl, Mr Dutton sought to dispel rumours that harnessing nuclear power was somehow dangerous.
Being taken through a room with test samples of the water collected after the major nuclear incident in 2011, Mr Dutton asked the guide which vial was the most radioactive before swiping it out of their hands and drinking it down in one big gulp.
“Down the hatch,” Mr Dutton said casually as the tour guide looked on in horror and immediately called an ambulance.
“See, I am going to dispel all this hogwash that nuclear is somehow more of a risky option than renewables.”
“I just gobbed the spiciest water this place has to offer and I feel a million bucks. If Australia wants to save money and steer away from fossil fuels, this is the way to go.”
“I might just need to sit down for a minute, the rooms gone a bit purple.”
After a bout of hallucinations and feverish mumblings about winning the 2018 leadership spill, Mr Dutton was transported to the Fukushima hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
